He needs to search and apply for a job.

The market is tight.

So is the housing market.

what do you mean the market and housing is tight? I've been keeping notes of the MLS, and the number of homes for sale is actually up my a fairly high margin, which would indicate a market with less upward pressure.

Nashville has a projected appreciation rate for the next 2 years of 1-3%. Not exactly tight. Sorry to disagree. I see no stampedes.

My comments.....

Jobs are tight, specially the ones with higher salary. I'm facing it now! By the way, I'm not talking six figure jobs here.

Homes are available and I also see a good number of listings, they may not be as affordable as you may think, depending from what area of the country you're coming from. As an example, homes in Knox Co. are more expensive than the Indianapolis, IN area.

My suggestion.....do not move to an area without a firm job.

Hoosier, thank you.

That's what I meant, but I put it very badly. My apologies to all of you.

Jobs are tight. There ARE homes, they just may not be THAT cheap for some people, depending on where you are moving from. The ones that are FAIRLY affordable are bought up quickly.

Once again, my apologies.
