Default Transfer Car Title & new drivers lic.

Is there any place in Knoxville where you can transfer a car title and get a new drivers license in the evening or on the weekend? My son works from 6am to 6pm. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

He may be able to take care of it at the satellite DMV at Knoxville Center Mall on Saturday but they may only do renewals. Call or e-mail to find out.

Thanks, I will call them. Boy, I hope they gave him an odometer disclosure statement when he bought the car. We don't have that where we live. I thought maybe there would be a spot on the back of the title for that, but my computer doesn't mention anything like thata.

I got my license tag at the Knoxville Center Mall, but I had to go to Strawberry Plains to get my license--it depends whether you are new to the state or have lived here a while. If you are a new TN resident, you have to go to Strawberry Plains to get your license. If you are not new to Knoxville, you can get that at Knoxville Center Mall, too. If he has to take the driving test, then he has to go to Strawberry Plains (or one of the other places, but not the mall).
