There is a uncommon species of pine (Table Mountain pine) native to the southern mountains whose seeds only sprout after burning.

This thread started with a "wow." My wife and I just drove from Chattanooga, Cleveland, Tellico Plains, Maryville and to Pigeon Forge. We both thought "WOW" about Maryville in a good way. The town seemed clean, friendly as can be and seemed to have a little (lot) to offer for anyone except someone who wants a huge, fast paced city lifestyle. Maryville sure appears to be a great area!

We absolutely LOVE living there. I cannot say enough about the city and community.

Our son graduated from Maryville High School last weekend. 68% of the graduating class received a scholarship of some sort with a value of $14.4 Million Dollars. My son told me that he has loved growing up in Maryville. How many 18 year old men can say that about their towns? Maryville has been a blessing for us.

Well I have found a place to live in Maryville and love it. Most of the people I have met so far are very friendly and nice. (minus a few men...lmao) Maryville is a nice town and a few of the places I looked to rent were dumps. I found a nice property for rent in Halls, but it was too small and the other one in West Knoxville smelled so bad I could not stand being in the place for 2 seconds. Looks can be deceiving on the internet so watch out because when you get there and see it in person it is totally different. I am glad I looked at a lot of properties before I decided on the new condo's in Maryville. They are in a great location and the place is beautiful. I was in TN May 13-18 and had a lot of fun, but was alone so did a lot by myself which kinda sucked..! I will update later when I offically move there June 1st.
