Relocating to Knoxville from Louisiana (Maryville: house, title, subdivision)

I am a Louisiana native moving to Knoxville and I am really interested in a house off of Northshore drive in the Lyons Crossing Subdivision on Paddington Road. I am your typical Cajun and I am married to a Peruvian. We have 4 children and are wondering about the people, things to do, the schools ect... I know we will stick out a little I am just wondering how much. Do they have things for children to do here? I am just scared I have never been away from my home before more than a week or 2 I just hope this will be a good choice for us moving to Knoxville and this community. Really hoping we are accepted and welcome.

I too am looking at Knoxville for a family member. I have a bog on North Knoxville there are lot of comments there that would be helpful. Look on the main page "North Knoxville"

Thank you I think I have already read every post but I am really wondering about the neighborhood if anyone knows anything about that specific area I have only been to knoxville one time and that is when we put a bid on the house there and I have not been there sence we are moving out there in mid June. I don't really even know what area it is east, west or whatever. I like all the other info I read here it is very helpfull.

ninajv, northshore is a very nice area. People are friendly in Knoxville. You will not stick out here. No worries.
