O H M Y G O S H!

This is fabulous. Is this city rocking and rolling, or what?

I hope so. Downtown needs more major retailers. Urban Outfitters will be a great start. With them opening a store in Asheville it looks like this might actually be reality.

Read a sentinel article today. Basically, the word is that if the 500,000 grant is approved by the CBID on Monday, this will happen. My girlfriend is very excited.

They'd be rather silly to not approve it. I would've been quite excited but Asheville is a bit closer to me. Still, this'll be great. I like some of their clothes but what I really like is the "other stuff." My alarm clock is from the Atlanta store and it's so cute!

That is fantastic news. Urban Outfitters offers a super shopping experience, and their clothes are edgy, not so expensive, and cater to a young, "in" crowd. That part of Knoxville would be perfect for the location. I really hope it happens. Plus, that building is really nice-looking.
What part of downtown is it in?

I'm too old for their clothes but not for their cool stuff. There's this funky chandelier that I want to get for Lauren's room.

It's at the corner of Market and Union, which is one block south of Market Square. Prime real estate.

IMO, Urban Outfitters coming will increase the chances of a place like Trader Joe's coming in the future.
