Default Detroit to Oak Ridge- Stuff to do

Hello people.

I'm going to oak ridge for some roofing job in 2 weeks. I'll be there for 2 months. I wont have a whole lot of off time, but when I do I want to know where to go to have fun. From what I read it seems like the town is mostly retired old people (i'm a 23 year old male), so I don't really know what to expect.

So what are some things to do in/around Oak Ridge? Thanks.

No. There's a lot of families, too. A lot of folks have jobs at the lab. Lots of scientists.

I don't live in Oak Ridge, and I am sure there must be SOME things to do, but you'll probably want to head to Turkey Creek for shopping, restaurants and the big IMAX movie theater.

You'll probably want to go into Knoxville to check out the nightlife, too. It's only about 30 minutes away. There are some clubs and a mall over in West Knoxville, too.

Lol, no. I have some friends who lived there for summer work at the lab (college guys) and you have to go to Knoxville for bars. Old city and around the university.

Hey Roofer, welcome and have fun and be careful. Oak Ridge has the normal fast food places, like Ruby Tuesdays, etc, and like Hikenapster says, West Knoxville is full of plenty of bars, and only 25 minutes away.
