Hello,

I'm relocating to Knoxville this weekend and I've been planning my move for a while. I've lived in Knoxville off and on for about 4 years, and I've lived in Farragut, South Knoxville and in Bearden.

I'm currently trying to nail down a place to live. I have a young child who lives off Middlebrook between Fox Lonas & Gallaher and I'd like to live as close as possible. I'm trying to be as thrifty as possible but it has to be an appropriate place for a child.

I'm looking to rent a one or two-bedroom apt and I've seen some attractive deals being offered by Avalon West, Woodlands, and Papermill Square. A friend used to live in Woodlands so I've been in there before (we used to call it the DogPark) but I don't know anything about the other. Sunchase Apartments is also very conveniently located as well.

If anyone has any feedback or advice I'd appreciate it. I've scheduled an itinerary and my plan now is to scour the area on Monday & Tuesday when I get into town. Thanks for your help!

Default Thanks

Thanks. I appreciate you pointing me in that direction. I'm not sure if I should just amend my post to the previous discussion as none of the places I've mentioned are discussed with the exception of Woodlands West.

I live in Fox Lake Apartments, they are right down the street from the high school on Fox Lonas. I believe they are all two bedroom apartments. It's a pretty safe place, well lit, the staff are very nice and helpful. I work with a guy that lived next to me and moved to Sunchase, he is pretty happy there as well.

If you don't want a complex, try Chatham Circle area. There are lots of duplexes, condos and small buildings for rent there. Take Middlebrook to Piney Branch Church Road and then turn on Glade Hill Drive. Keep going until you get to the circle. Nice little community.
There is a nice complex off Walker Springs Road and Gallaher View. Turn on Walker Springs and go to Kidder Lane, turn there. Can't remember the name of it, but it's right by Walker Springs Park and Ten Mile Creek Greenway. Walker Springs Park has a wonderful kid's playground and Gazebo. It's behind Country Club apartments. There are some condos around there, too.

Thank you. I have an appointment set up to see Brendon Park on Sunday. It sounds very nice but I'd never heard of it in my years of living in Knoxville. I'll take a drive around Chatham Circle on Sunday as well. Thank you knoxgarden.

Badbird, appreciate the feedback. I'll look into Fox Lake, and it's nice to hear a vote for Sunchase.
