Default Parks near the river?

Hubby and I are looking for a park area on the river. Anyone know of one of these? Don't mind travelling a bit as we're coming from Seymour but would prefer as close as possible.

Thanks!

Sequoyah hills & Holston River parks are the biggest. In South Knoxville your options are Island Home Park, and Scottish Pike park, east & west of Chapman Hwy, respectively. There is a great greenway that goes from IH park to Ijams nature center and on to forks of the river wildlife management area. Ijams has a wonderful boardwalk along the river. There's also a small park off Maloney Road at the W end of Ginn.

Another option which will be closer to home is the 7 islands wildlife area off porterfield gap road. It's really not more than a green space and a boat ramp but if you just need a spot to dip your fishing pole in the water it might do.

I.C. King park is on the river and just off Alcoa Hwy. It has a fishing pier if that's what you're looking for.
Blount County has several parks on the river, including some in and near downtown Maryville.

Louisville Point Park is right on the river and very nice. There's a TVA park off Topside Drive between Chapman Hwy. and Pellissippi Parkway. I can never remember the name but it's quite lovely and rarely crowded.
If you're in the mood to travel an hour or so, my favorite river parks are Panther Creek near Morristown:
TN State Parks: Panther Creek State Park
And Cove Lake State Park near Jacksboro.
