I posted a couple of months ago that I was looking for a good, honest, reasonable auto mechanic in LC, and didn't get much of a response. Finally, I ended up taking my car to one of the places recommended on this blog, and it was not a good experience! After dishing out $300.00 for their repair work, I drove about 6 blocks and stopped at a red light, and the car stalled and wouldn't start. So, I took it back to them and they told me they would check for another possible problem. No way. The car was towed to another auto repair, which came highly recommended from a native Las Crucen now living in Houston, Tx. He told me to take the car to Elite Auto, on No. Solano Dr, and said Sherry, the owner would take excellent care of me. Well, he was right on target with his recommendation. I've never had better service, honest, reasonable prices, and super nice people. The car is now driving the way it should.

As long as I live in LC, they will get my business.

I am just sharing my experience with those who are looking for an honest auto mechanic, and believe me, it is not easy finding one in any city! I have no desire, whatsoever, to mention the name of the auto repair shop on the internet! And, no, I am in no way connected with the shop I recommended!

I guess that's fair enough, though I wouldn't hesitate to, at least privately, warn one of our members away from any merchant that wasn't good.

From the Terms Of Service, commonly referred to as TOS:
"This is not the right place for consumer complaints. Such posts present defamation issues and they don't give the other side the opportunity to present their side of the argument."
There is some room for interpretation. If you come here for the sole purpose of bashing, complaining etc, well, the post will most likely be deleted. Honest experiences which someone asks about from users who have a certain number of posts is generally OK... That's my interpretation.
