I live north of LC but I go into town at least twice per week and when
I am north of Radium Springs I can often see the big cloud of yuk and
many times this is on a hot summer day with no wind so it's probably
not dust. I grew up in LA years ago and it was the smog capital then
and this stuff looks a lot like that did. There is however a lot of dust
in LC when the wind is blowing hard like it does almost everyday in
the spring and if you have allergies you won't like that either. One
will make you sneeze and the other could cause other more serious
problems over a long period of time. Also as LC and west El Paso grow
together it will only get worse over time. If you live in LC and look
up into the sky you probably don't notice any air pollution at all
but on many days it's there. I never see this brown cloud when I'm
in Santa Fe and it's approximately the same size.

Could it be residual air pollution from Juarez, where no clean air standards exist?

Could be residual stuff from Juarez, could have been residual ash, etc. floating east from one of the CA wildfires. Could have just been the day after a day with high winds (like today). Sometimes it takes a day or so for everything to settle down.

There's a lot of chemtrail action at certain times of the year. Last spring, the sky would start out clear blue every morning, but would soon become this:

Which after a couple of hours turns into this:

Now in the summertime the trails are typically absent, and instead there are big white fluffy clouds.
