Hmmm, I don't know about using illegal help.I guess I would just as soon not .I actually enjoy doing housework and adore outside work but don't always feel up to it.I am the type that has to have things done now which is why I need help. Can't seem to let things wait until I feel up to it.I would need someone once a week that could do a variety of things such as clean,do outside work and help me with my hobby of refinishing antique furniture. And of course if I find a home that allowes horses I would need help there also.Is there an agency I can contact for info or is it just a word of mouth deal? I will certainly need help setting up my new home when I relocate.

I agree with _yb, you are likely to find a house cheaper in Alamogordo than down in Las Cruces. Las Cruces is nice but housing costs are rising there. Alamogordo is a nice family type of town and I would suggest you look there for a cheaper home. Plus you aren't far from beautiful Ruidoso and Cloudcroft.

We have horses too and just bought land in Tularosa. It is a horse friendly town.

Thanks for all your good advice.I am looking for a home in the Alamagordo area and have found a few houses with land where I can have my horse.I have been checking into the town more and I think I will love it!I also have family in Pinon so thats a plus also.Once again, thanks for your input!

Anywhere you are, particularly in southwestern New Mexico, will be subject to sand storms. For the most part, this is a "springtime" thing. The sand even gets carried way up into the higher elevations. I live near Tularosa and sometimes I say "Well, here comes Lordsburg, one grain at a time!"

I think I can handle sand storms over snow storms! We have been getting some big wind storms with snow.I walked my dog this morning and the snow started pelting down.It was a mixture of snow and hail.I was all bundled up but it still was nasty!Ouch...it hurt!I can't wait to move to Alamogordo!Have my house up for sale and have been selling my antiques.Hope to have an easy move there. My mom has decided to move also....has her eye on a condo and 2 people fighting over her house. We have decided whoever sells and buys first will let the other one live with them until a desireable property is found and bought.Gee, hope she doesn't mind living with my 93 lb Chocolate Lab!She is pretty playful!
