NM schools too often get nothing but bad press. I thought it would be nice to cheer for some good news, particularly as it pertains to Las Cruces high schools.

"The Oñate High School Royal Knight Regiment Marching Band received the Gregg Randall award as the highest scoring New Mexico marching band in the 2013 Tournament of Bands, held November 2, 2013 at New Mexico State University. 35 schools participated.

Centennial High School won the class B category in preliminary performances and received the Visual, Music and General Effect Caption awards."
