I remember fun times at O'Ryans but I guess that one is definitely gone.
Guacamoles? If so then yes it is still open.

Yes! that was the place. I remember going there in the summer and having a burger with their hawaiian tea in their outdoor patio. It was very relaxing.

Ah, Guacamole's is the best. Sitting out on the shady patio in the summer, hearing the clink of beer bottles in the old fashioned metal ice chest, listening to the birds, and eating the best burgers... What a place, I can't wait to go back.

I used to have the BBQ place next to Rodeo USA. Guacamole's was/is a very nice place to relax and enjoy a good burger. Princess Taco's is another of my favorite Cruces places to eat, along with Napalito's... ALbuquerque is great, but I DO miss things about Cruces for sure.. Ohhhh Scoopy's... errrr Caliche's

Guy...as a former restaurant owner in LC you might have some unique insights into the biz and the buzz in LC. Why didn't your's work out? (if you care to discuss) What are the difficulties of the food biz in LC?
As a former long-time chef and restaurant owner I'd be interested in your opinions about the challenges of running a restaurant in LC. Thanks

I say we open a 10th Street Tacos.. err I mean a Chicos Taco in Las Cruces. We can call it "Hey Who Stole My Taco Place". Or well I better not say its fitting, but it is a tad racy, and I don't want to offend. Tacos soaking in sauce.. think about it.

You know, it's been 10 years since we had a locoation down there. The biggest issue I had with my situation down there back then, is a very bad partnership.
Also, as with any business/investment, location, location, location....
Other than that, I don't think Las Cruces has a problem supporting local businesses at all. Obviously offering something unique (other that mexican cuisine), would be the best bet down there. In fact, one day we may try another location there again.

The original Walmart where Hobby Lobby is now. It was such a great place.....and never packed like the two Walmarts are today!

I really am disappointed in the LC of today. Been here nearly 21 years and it's just not what I came here for. Although I don't live in town, thankfully! And never would consider it either!
