Reading in the newspaper how they expect over 100,000 people there this weekend. That's great for Tor C and hope everyone has fun in New Mexico's largest lake !!!!

SeekingJoy is on a distinguished road
Gorgeous pics! Just wondering something, and hoping someone could help. I am moving to Silver City in 2 1/2 weeks, and wondering if EB or somewhere closer to Silver City, is a feasible location to swim. Where do y'all get relief from those skyrocketing temps??. Just a little worried, as I'll be relocating from the humid waterworld that is coastal Florida, and it seems like there may a paucity of places to swim (or kayak). I haven't even seen a single pool in SC.
I have also heard of some place called Lake Roberts, but not sure how far that (or Elephant Butte) is from Silver City, nor whether it's swimmable.

Any suggestions? I am SO looking forward to becoming New Mexican. Just don't want to spontaneously combust in the process, ya know?

Thanks and see ya soon!
