Default Hay Las Cruces what happened too...?

What happened with Henry J's? I used to come up there once a week to COAS:MY BOOK STORE, and then over to Henry J's for lunch. What ever happened to that place? I see that its closed now and has been for time I am told. Lots of College kids ate there too. The model behind that business is awesome, I see places like FUDD Ruckers sorta immolate it.

So whats the story behind it closing?

Henry J's was opened in Sept of '96. We had our last date there before we were married.

When I graduated in May 96, my last meal in LC was there, I did it out of symbolism (my first meal when I arrived was there in 92)! I went back in 2006, and it has all changed! Most of my old dives were gone!

Not sure exactly when it opened but in the summer of 1990 they changed their format from counter service (they would call your number when your order was ready) to a full service restaurant style format. This was short lived and they returned to the old format within a year or two.
