Default Las Cruces hotels

I just made reservations at Springhill Suites for my visit this month. I know next to nothing about hotels in the area. I've tried to avoid the area that get the TRAIN and highway noise. Has anyone stayed at this hotel or have recomendations for other lodging?

The Springhill is very close to Highway 10 and not far from Avenida de Mesilla where there is a collection of motels and where I stayed in my recent visit. There is a nicer area on Telshor Dr. where Hotel El Encanto is located (my first choice), nearby is the Fairfield Inn (my second choice) which is more economical and it's at close distance from the El Paso airport's shuttle stop. Telshor Dr. is in an upscale neighborhood with very nice restaurants and a big shopping mall. If I were looking for lodging in LC again, I would chose between these two hotels. I wouldn't stay at the Springhill Suites because it's too close to Highway 10, which is noisy and polluted, because of the proximity to the highway, there are a lot of truck in that area. Incidentally, if you don't want to drive, the shuttle makes 12 daily trips to and from El Paso airport and las Cruces.

Default Suites Hotel

For a sevenh-night stay, my first preference is a suites hotel. Love going out for lunch every day, but dislike dining out for dinner every night. Does anyone have any experience with Towneplace Suites or others?
