Default Mesilla Park

We are planning a move to Las Cruces in the summer of 2010. We're wondering if Mesilla Park is a nice, quiet area? We're not young kids and don't want to be in a party area close to the University. Can anyone lead us in the right direction of where we should look for a rental house? I've heard that Las Alturas, University Hills, Mission Bell Estates, Shadow Run and Cresent Park are nice areas. Is this true and what would you recommend to us? Thanks.

You'll find large parts of Mesilla Park right up your alley, particularly the areas that were developed a couple decades ago. Some newer areas are near the University and some near other schools. Newer subs in MP tend to have younger families. I like Mesilla Park a lot, and advise you to take a look around. The areas off Calle Sur are quite nice, with lots of trees, large lots and nice houses.
