Default Elementary schools in Las Cruces?

Hello New to this website --
I would like to know if anyone has any comments on the better schools (elem, jr high & hs) for a family moving to Las Cruces. I am originally from El Paso but dont want my children growing up there due to the things I saw as a child. We are moving back to NM area in June of 2007 and we have a 10 yr old and a 13 yr Old boys.
Also is there any major employers in the area to seek employment?
Thanks.
Cindy

I still have fondest memories going to Mesilla Park Elemetary and Zia junior high school (shaped like an Octagon). The Las Cruces public schools site is... lcps.k12.nm

As for Major Employers there is NMSU, White Sands Missle Range, New SpacePort under construction, 2 Major Hospitals, West Mesa Industrial Park, Call Centers, Major Shopping centers/malls etc..etc..as the population is about 90,000 and a metro of around 150,000 ...
