Las Cruces has a lot of things going for it... great location at junction of Interstates 10 and 25, beautiful backdrop of the Organ Mtns, one of best climates in New Mexico (and the entire Southwest for that matter), proximity to El Paso, and other attractions: White Sands, Caballo and Elephant Butte Lakes, /state parks like City of Rocks, Ft Selden, Rock Hound, Oliver Lee, /mountains: Gila Wilderness, Black Range (Emory Pass), Cloudcroft, horse racing: Sunland Park, /Mexico: Juarez and Las Palomas. Some really great housing: Telshor, Picacho Hills, etc ... no secret why it gets high ratings as best place to live/retire.

Las Cruces is very nice. Born and raised in Cruces. Graduated from Onate then NMSU. Hated to leave but there is no money in the Area. Maybe that will change.

When it is all said and done I will probably return home to retire.
