What do you love about Las Cruces?
My DH and I have chosen to move to Las Cruces. We are very excited about it. I have never lived outside of Washington state although we live in Central WA. which is a desert with lots of irrigatation. The only major difference I see is your milder winters of which we look forward to. Please share what you love about Las Cruces, would love to hear about it!

The pace of life, the food, the people, Aggie Basketball Games, Friday Night Football, the River, and last but not least The Organ Mountains.
The only thing keeping me from being home is the low pay.

Summer nights - the beautiful sunsets prior to nightfall, the drop in temperature after the sun goes down, the magnificent lightning storms that only sometimes bring rain, and the starry skies.
Oh, and the smell of freshly roasted green chiles.

I agree with Enjoying EP ...hard to beat Las Cruces weather anywhere in the Southwest...to me Phoenix/Yuma/etc are just too hot in summer...Las Cruces is 10 degrees cooler than them but still mild enough in the winter ...solid zone 8a (possibly zone 8b in some higher areas of Telshor or Picacho Hills with good cold air drainage)

Thank you for the replies. I have never eaten chilis, roasted or otherwise. I am looking forward to trying them.
