New Mexico Rt 26 (Deming: safe, gas, driving)

Need info about Rt 26. Is it safe driving from Deming to I-25 with a 36ft 5th wheel? Sure would cut off a few miles from our trip.

Yeah, no problem. It's a decent two lane state highway.

It's definitely a lot more scenic IF you're not in a hurry. Otherwise staying on the interstates would be faster and save gas since NM-26 is hilly/curvy and narrow, as 2-lanes tend to be in NM - plus lower speed limits.
