For those of you living in LC, how frequently do you have the need to go El Paso? I imagine there is more variety for shopping, hospitals, etc. Or does LC pretty much have everything you need?

Does anyone live in LC and work or go to school in El Paso? Why?

Is there a general feeling/opinion of El Paso? Does its proximity to Mexico create negative opinions? Dirtiness, pollution, border crime?

Shopping is better in El Paso, but for most things you can get by in LC. When I lived in LC, when ever I went to El Paso, it was to go to Juarez for shopping, entertainment, etc. El Paso/Juarez is a large metro area including a third world country, so there is crime and pollution; however there are also some very nice areas in both cities. IMHO, El Paso's bad reputation is largely unwarranted.
