My cats are indoor cats. They live the longest this way, plus they are safe inside. My house smells lovely too. I use scoopable litter with cedar in it, and i scoop daily.
The people that just let their cats roam all over are part of the problem with cats spraying and pooping in people's gardens. They can't blame the cats for doing what come's naturally. It's the owner's fault for letting them roam.

I agree. We had a stray male coming into our yard and spraying. We trapped him and gave him to animal control. I am sorry if he was someone's cat but you can't let them roam. My cats stay in the house and in our backyard. They are all spayed.

All those that say "Cats smell" You are welcome to come test your senses at my place.. I have 4 indoor cats, and am a neat freak.. 99% of the time my house smells like a high end hotel after room service has just left.. lol

Its easy to keep the smells away if you keep the catbox both clean and covered (It does have a door for them to get in and out)

Vacuum often, wipe off surfaces, clean your cat box, and your home wont smell.
