Default UK To Las Vegas

Hello all,

I am a 22 year old UK resident looking in to the possibility of moving to Vegas. I have been looking into this for the last year or so, ever since fulfilling my dream of going to Vegas last year. There are a few barriers in my way I'm just hoping some1 out there could lend a helping hand or advise me on the matters. 1st problem is a big one really and it’s the visa. The only way I can move to Vegas is on a work visa. I would love to work in a casino; I've loved the idea of dealing and gambling as an activity for years. In the UK, the legal age to gamble is 18, I have some big gambling friends and used to spend hours in a casino watching them and the dealers to which I found fascinating and last year in Vegas was speechless looking at the scenery and the dealers ability. I feel I have to take this step now while I am young, try and live my dreams or at least try or I will go through my life regretting and wondering "what if". It's a big step, I will be leaving behind my family, friends and all that I know, but it is a chance or a shot at happiness for me. I have no idea how to get a work visa, I did think of emailing casinos/dealer schools trying to get info but yet no reply. Does anybody know anybody who can help in this matter? The other obstacle would obviously be accommodation. Are house prices/renting costs expensive in Vegas, over here they are ridiculous, but I need to weigh in the factors of living costs against possible earnings which I know if work out will be low for a while, whilst I build up my experience.

If anyone could help me in this matter it would be much appreciated

Thank you in advance

Cameron

This is just a theory, but I'd think it'd be tough to get someone to sponsor your visa to work in a casino- there is an overabundance of available help looking for work already, so why would a casino go to the trouble of doing your paperwork?

You might want to considering studying at the university. You could get a student Visa more easily, and obtain casino work on the side.

Contact immigration. They have changed their name from Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) to this: USCIS Home Page

That will start the ball rolling.
