Interesting map here:

Map: Where Americans Are Moving - Forbes.com

Looks like for Las Vegas...a ton of inward migration coming from the Northeast, Midwest, California, and Florida.

Most of the outward immigration seems to be going to Pacific Northwest or Texas/Carolinas.

Interesting map nontheless.

Seattle or Austin have been calling me, but I doubt I'm going anywhere anytime soon.

That map is also from 2008, I wonder if it has changed in two years?

I'm not saying it is, but I do remember Forbes did an article not too long ago where they tracked the U-Haul rentals to and from.

Maybe that was the data they used to compile the map?

It says at the bottom that it is from IRS data. They know when we change address when we file.

Here are the latest population stats from the LVCVA website, but only as of July 2009.

Guess well have to wait for the new 2010 Census figures to see how that figure has gone up or down...
