My husband and I are planning on relocating to Las Vegas later this year. Our plan is to live in Vegas October through May and travel out of the state in our motorhome June through September. What do people do about closing up their homes when they are gone during the hot months, e.g., shutting off water, keeping a/c on low. Any information would be helpful!

Pretty much do what you would do anyplace, except here you might want to leave the A/C on in the 80's. If you are going to be gone all summer you'll need to get someone to run the water about once every week or two or else your S traps will dry out and sewer gas will escape into your house. Your faucets might also dry out and have to be replaced. Also, people leave things in your driveway that will be a dead giveaway that no one is home. You should be able to get someone once a week for about $35 a visit.
