"If you need to hear more shows I've seen I'll go into more detail."

Vegaslocal, yes please fill us in on what other shows you've been able to see. I'm sure many here would like to get a feel for how this program works and what shows they include. It sounds like a great deal.

I'll have to pass on Houseseats for now. I am looking for totally free deals at this time. Maybe in the future.

This isn't just for locals but I finally got to try the Triple 7 deal at the Mr. Lucky's at the Hard Rock. That's steak and shrimp for $7.77. I may have been slightly tipsy after the Richard Cheese show, but I've got to say it was worth every penny. [edit] NOT ON THE MENU, MUST ASK FOR IT

Vegas4Locals is a site I head to from time to time.

Fill a Seat has been recommended to me many-a-time. Check it out if you like free/cheap shows.

Good luck. I think a couple of my old posts are searchable and have similar results.

At the end of it, will count the cards, and the "loot" (free decks of cards, etc) will know where to NOT go back to and will keep a list of the good places. So far my favorite is Wild Wild West. Small, but the machines pay out. I don't need a fancy place, just pay me and I am fine.
So what do you do..just ask for a card? And where do you get a card? I'm a gambling virgin, unless you want to call a little poker among friends gambling. I have never put one coin in a slot. It would be fun though to try it out without putting one cent of my own in.

Just about every casino has a club card. What you do is go into each one, find the club, usually in the back somewhere, tell them you want to sign up for the card. You give your name, address, phone, email. They give you the card. Some give you free extra play cash and they tell you how to access it. Some require you to put in some money first, a lot do not. So just put a dollar in if you have to. You do have to play the free slot play out before you can cash out any extra you won. So keep an eye on the money and count down until the free stuff runs out, then cash out, and go to the next.
Some places will give you freebies, coupons, 2 for 1's and sometimes free buffets.
Some casino's are connected to others, so check to see first and mark them off your list.

We are off to do the rest of The strip tomorrow(if possible), then start again on monday. That way we avoid most of the heavier traffic on the weekends. Once we finish in Las Vegas, the next place will be Henderson. Then probably Pahrump.
We already did Mesquite last month. And had a nice dinner there too.

Thanks, I will be looking forward to hearing about what happens on the Strip. I have to admit your experiment kind of sounds like fun to try.

Add another to the list: The Lucky Club on Cheyenne/15 that I think used to be the Speedway. It is offering all new card signups $15 free slot play. Go to the site and click on "promotions." It shows $15 for all new people to sign up. After you go in person and sign up, then go back to the site and click on the $10 promo. For everyone who is a loyal customer, they will send you an additional $10 card good in their casino. So you end up with $25. Not bad.

It's ok during the daytime. We also went to the Silver Nugget and Jerrys nugget, both in not so great area's. We were fine. Nobody bugs you and there is security. Everyone is nice. Including the patron's.
Go with someone, will feel better going there. We are going tomorrow first before heading to the Strip. Will let you know how it was.

TOTALLY FREE SERVICES:

ShowTickets4Locals.com is an online service which is free & posts available shows for that evening. Because it's free it just isn't as good as Houseseats in many ways.

SaveLV.com is a free daily email to you of deals in town.

I also give blood & there's always a free gift when you give which changes monthly-my favorites have been Penn & Teller tickets & a paddlewheel tour of Lake Mead.

More about Houseseats:There are just too many shows to mention. Let me tell you what's NEVER on there: Cirque, Phantom, Jersey Boys, Donny & Marie. Recently I've seen Cheap Trick doing Sgt. Pepper, Grandma Lee, Andrew Dice Clay, Mitch Fatel (a fav), Gordy Brown, & an even better impersonator at The Riv. Also the ones I mentioned earlier. Still want to see Anthony Cools & Menopause. I LOVE Houseseats--easy to book, can plan a day or 2 ahead, better shows, 5 free haircuts last year. (If you join Houseseats will you use me as a referral-I'll send you my email address? TX)

Hope these keep you busy. Pink, when my sister comes in next month I'm going to review all your posts & do the free stuff-that's my cup of tea!
