Perhaps a big plus for you, lol, but, your success in Las Vegas will hinge upon a good attitude about the "new" place from everyone in your family to make it work and adapt to the change. And those things I mentioned above that you might miss about NY, will become major things with a hostile relocator, lol.

IMO (and truly my own opinion), if one of you is "not on board" completely and willingly to move here, you might not find your Las Vegas relocation dream a wonderful one.

I live away from most my family but have found I get A LOT of visitors. Not only are we a good resting spot for travelers to CA, but people seem to want to come here in the winter for some reason...

I kind of like not being so close to family. I get to see them often when they visit and I get to avoid the day to day drama that usually happens when people live close.
