I was told by a friend inside that no butlers had been hired.

20 minutes later, I got an offer for butler, full-time.

I guess somebody has to be first...might as well be me!!!

Basically same question as Jay4400. I did my on -boarding on 13 October [signed forms, set up direct deposit, photo, temp card, & drug test] after that they told me to wait for an email. Still no email, no word, nothing. Should I go along with no news is good news and that if there was a problem they would have contacted me by now. They gave me an estimated start date of 15 November. This is for an hourly F & B position. Maybe they are not on schedule??? Thanks for any thoughts.

You can ***** and whine all you want about the understaffing. But you will soon find out that its the norm everywhere these days.

Called HR again about the dealer position and they said they are a bit behind but we are supposed to get a phone call or an e-mail by the end of next week.

Ironic that's what they told me last week too. They said there have been people that haven't heard anything since July! OMG those poor souls!

And the wait continues...

I beg to differ.I worked at the Venetian, which I think has the best Room Service.I have most of my life worked two jobs,I am no stranger to hard work.Ballys is a pit, plain and simple. There is one simple rule at Paris, dont eat the EDR food. Most if not all my coworkers bring there own food.If there is one positive about Harrahs,it is I have been toughened by the experience.I think I am going to do well at Cosmo.

I just received a call from my hiring manager and got a job offer in Accounting Dept.
After working for a government for several years, I need to make a major adjustment.
No more 40 hrs/week working time, no more my own space, no more guranteed holidays and weekends, etc.
I moved to Las Vegas last December, and it has been so hard finding a job in LV.
I am starting from very bottom (I never had a non-managerial postion before, and I am going to get paid almost $8 per hour lower than my last job), but at least I have a job, right.

My manager told me that I will be receiving an e-mail by Tuesday. Hopefully, I can make some good friends at Cosmo.
