I had lunch with my buddy today who is a CSM at the Cosmo. He said the pit is all locked up and done. I also know the guy they contracted to do the dealer assessments during your probation. He is one tough MF. I hope your games are up to par.

Seriously, just join a 12 step program and quit. I've worked in many casinos and i never met anyone who got a random drug test. But if you get hurt while working, the first thing they do is drug test you and if you fail the insurance won't pay your medical bills and you'll be fired. Just quit

It doesn't give any options but only yes or decline to 11/29 8:45AM. I think this is my orientation day and time. Is this normal or do I need to go through another interview?
I already did "on-boarding" interview and drug and background check on last Friday.
Very confusing!!!
I agree with Airics. Check your email. I got an email with the orientation info and it said to log in to my account and RSVP. I go in at the same time as you.

Thanks, Aircs and Garyray!
I havent' received an e-mail yet. Where are you going to park? Do you know the exact address of employee parking?
Commuting will be the most challenging part of my job. I am not used to driving this far to work. I have visited the Strip only three times since I moved to this state.

Here's the parking info that was on my email:
"Start by parking in our garage off Harmon (recommended route: West on Tropicana until just beyond the 15, then North on Polaris, Right on Harmon to The Cosmopolitan porte-cochere. Accessing from Las Vegas Boulevard causes backups and delays.) You may park on the fourth level (B4) or, if B4 is filled, park one level up on B3. Weíll have CoStar Hosts in the garage to help you find your way.

After parking, you may take the elevators up to the resortís fourth floor. CoStar Hosts will guide you from there to the Registration Desk.

If someone else is driving, please ask them to drop you at the porte-cochere, our main entrance off Harmon Avenue. Or, if youíre taking a city bus, you may walk down Harmon from the Las Vegas Boulevard bus stop and enter, again, through The Cosmopolitanís porte-cochere and main doors. Either way, youíll come in at the casino level. Youíll want to take an elevator to the fourth floor."

I hope this helps. I got another email saying not to park at the Bellagio or you will be towed.
If you're not sure how to get there, do a few trial runs around the same time your orientation will be. That way you will know where you're going.

the parking once you actually start is going to be at 3200 tompkins street off of industrial in between trop and flamingo and shuttle buses will take you to and from the property. during orientation you park at the underground parking at the cosmo and report to the forth floor your first 3 days then the 3rd floor the following week during training. i would recommend parking at the bellagio guest parking and just walking next door, very smooth drive with little traffic especially coming from flamingo and LV blvd. its a two min walk and when you walk on las vegas blvd you then make a right where you would go as if driving to the Jockey club...coming to and leaving is a pain when you park on property because of volume and also construction

A friend of mine applied for 4 jobs at the Cosmo. When she logs on she sees that she has "2 applications on file". She called and was told that two of the positions she applied for had been filled. OK. But, she was still be considered for the other two. OK. However, there is NO status in the 'scheduled interview' column. She was also in the first group interview on November 3rd, that they would be cutting off hiring as of November 15th. Calls to HR this week revealed that they have extended the Nov 15th date because they were still filling some jobs and that they were behind schedule a bit. (this keeps her hopes up a bit)

So, the questions are: If two of the jobs have been filled, why doesn't that show in the 'scheduled interview' column? (why haven't hey been deleted?) How up to date is their website? How long have folks waited to hear back, one way or another?
