Hello all!

Looking at apartment listings on various sites. (so confusing) Pictures can be misleading. Please help....
We are looking for a place to get started there and get familiar with the area. I’ve seen some places w/ utilities included and no security check/ deposit.
Will be out of town a lot, need to know stuff will still be there on return. (or)
Husband on the road will I be safe by myself?

$400 ish for rent
Bobtail parking friendly 4-6 days a month.
Pool would be nice to beat the heat.
I am looking for someone to ask about specific locations too.
thanks!!!!

$400 is a REALLY low amount for a decent apartment that would be safe. I mean, I know crime happens everywhere and all and there are instances of this throughout the city, but the only thing I can think of is if you catch a really great deal for a year lease or so with heavy discounts. Check craigslist as I've learned in the past that the apartment pricing on the websites are not accurately reflected. Pick out like 10 maybe that you like, and start from there narrowing them all down with pros and cons. If you don't any of them, start again with 5-10 until you find a couple worth looking at. Don't make a decision without seeing the place itself and the surrounding area though.

You get what you pay for. $400 in rent, while it sounds nice, the area might not be all that nice. But if you are from a rough area and you don't mind it and are street smart, you can do well in the el cheapo places.

Any suggestions since $400. does not look favorable, I understand.
I am street smart but not stupid enough to go to harms way. Ok lets raise the monthly rent a bit.
Any recommedations?
Bobtail parking is required
Deposit request ok
credit check???? prefer not.
Some place temporary till we learn the area!
