Default How do I find out the sale date of a foreclosure?

We are renters and the house we live in is suppose to foreclose. I have called he mortgage company and they cannot give me info because I am not the owner. The landlord tells me not to worry, that they are trying to re-modify their loan. Bull$hit! They stopped paying Aug 2009, and a few months into our lease we found out they stopped. I checked Clark County Records and there is no new info since Feb 2010.

Is there a website I can go to to find out when it will get sold to the bank?? I have the parcel # too. Thank you.

It is the Recorders web site at Clark County. Note though it is a little messy. You can also file to get notified of the default etc...

Nevada Tenant Filing a Request for Notice of Default Nevada Residential Real Property Law

Talk to the Recorders office. I suspect you can also get notice of a Trustee sale. Note they have to post that on your door...so you should know it is coming.

I always suggest a tenant should renegotiate his lease under these circumstances...Split the take with your landlord and get a low cost ride at least for a while.

There is no date of sale until the notice of trustee sale is filed with the recorder (one will be put on your door as well). Even then, the trustee sale can be cancelled or delayed. The trustee sale notice is filed/put on the door 25 days or so prior to auction.

You'll know the date because it will be on your door. Prior to that happening, nobody knows when it will occur. You'll have at least 25 days notice.

Thanks everybody. I got a notice on the door early July that read, "Your home is being foreclosed. In not less than 60 days your home will be sold and you will be forced to move." The clark county records read:
Feb 23, 2010 Mortgage Co's Name: ASSIGNMENT.
Feb 23, 2010 Law offices name: SUBSTITUTION TRUSTEE.
Feb 23, 2010 BREACH & ELECTION TO SELL - TEXT IN MARGIN.

Don't know what that means? Thank you..
