Does anyone have experience with this 3rd party utility company? My new apartment will be the first time I've shared utilities with other tenants. I find it strange that they do this How much approximately is your bill for 1 person living in an apartment? Another bill I wasn't expecting as my utilities in my current apartment complex are included in the rent

Never heard of Conservice, but I pay water/sewer/trash in common with the rest of the complex. They don't distinguish between a single person in a 1BDRM or a family in a 3BDRM that I know of. It usually costs around $40.

It is not a utility company. It is a billing service that provides tenant billing for utilities to landlords. Takes the real utility bills and divides them up among the tenants.

My apt complex uses them. No probs. Bill is between $25-$35/month for sewer/water/trash.
They do charge to pay with a credit card so I just send them a check. I believe you can
set up autopay from your checking account but I prefer not to do that.

Thanks for the responses. $35-40 isn't that bad. I was worried it might be higher. I am scared to open my next power bill I moved here July 12th, and for 20 days in a 650 sq 1 bedroom it was $90.90. But I had the temperature set at around 75 degrees and have since turned it up to no lower than 80 degrees. Hoping this helps.

i lived at the resort of the lakes for a year, and they used conservice. it allowed for online bill pay. it covered water, sewer, and trash. power was still paid to nevada power/nv energy.

price/fee seemed average.

Did you enjoy paying extra for online billpay?

It was $10 extra last time I checked.

Just pay them by check (on time, otherwise there is a $10 late fee that they seem to encourage) or hook them into your checking account for auto-pay, if you so desire.

It is an important point that you will have to pay your power bill separately though
