here in England i live right next to the u.k. biggest container port. the chinese bought the port and all i see is british trucks lugging Chinese boxes out on the dock road. Of course due to recession the dock road isnt as busy as before , but i was reading that A lot of scrap metal leaves this country bound for China at the dock. The price paid for scrap is very high now, seems the chinese want it badly

timing is important a heavy deflation for example 1929 type of deflation would be a great time to buy for the chinese. here is what i think, we have for some glass beads, sold our nation to the invaders.
like the indians-- we will realize it too late.

What do you expect when you have 2 billion people only a 5 hour flight away and a population close to the size of the US population living within 4 hours drive? Oh to make it better, no legal competitors within a 1000 miles. Its not sad, just very predictable it happened.

Singapore is catching up too. It is expected to surpass Vegas as the second top gambling city in the next two years.

Sooner or later, Vegas will drop to number 3.
Singapore has a few really lame casinos. I was there last year for 2 weeks. They were certainly packed tho. Atmosphere, fun totally lacking. I had to stand in a long ass line to cash out or use the restroom for christ sake.

Been to Macau several times in the last 10 years. The hotels are amazing... those built by USA corps., but every place ive been doesn't have the feel vegas does. Even Asians will tell you that.

Sin City has little to worry about.
