It rained for three minutes. Just enough to rearrange the dirt on my car.

I only saw a few drops. I was outside at the park and saw some impressive lightening strikes off into the distance.

Yesterday was very disappointing after starting out looking like some pretty formidable thunderheads moving in (they came from all mountains, but over the Spring Mtns was looking really good for my area near Centennial Hills/Sun City).

Particularly with what those low pressure systems do to my sinuses, I like to at least get enough rain to settle the dust. In that sense, I've been jonesing for my prior climate of Northern New Mexico all summer. I guess I'm now enough of a Vegas local to celebrate getting rained on, but still enough of a Vegas newbie to actually expect the clouds to put out for more than five minutes.

Good one. Theologically speaking, this area's been askin' for it.

On that note, a friend of mine from Riverside was bemoaning the weather in that region, and I told him he and his fam were welcome to come cool off in Vegas.

He'll laugh about that later, I'm sure...

Nothing as usual. Saw the pics in the R-J and wondered how that system completely avoids us here in the NW.

Looking forward to Sunday/Monday though, break out the winter gear
