Hi all,

I'm looking for a condo near the strip, under 140k. The ideal would be a 2/2/2 Anyone keen to give advice on areas that are GREAT to live in.

I've been to Vegas once before. Thanks in advance.

Well the obvious place is Silverado - 89123. If you wish the two car garage you should probably consider town homes or single families. Condos generally have only a single parking space inside if any. There are three or four places that are heavy with younger strip people that would likely meet your needs.

You could also go west to the vicinity of Decatur and Tropicana 89118. Need to stay south but livable in some of the townhouse communities. Again strip workers though these will be a little older.

The nearest corner of Silverado is about 3 miles south of Mandalay Bay. It is about 4 x 4 miles in size. Has easy access to 15 at Windmill and Silverado.

Decatur and Trop is about 2.5 miles west of Trop and LVB.

Would you buy in this area if you wanted a 'lock up and go' I mean, does the area feel 'viby', young and maybe a bit touristy and not run down? Do the majority of people living there work in the hospitality industry due to the strip?

I know these questions sound silly, but your opinion will help. I noticed high end AND cheap homes, all in the 89123 zip

I bought a condo in Fl some time ago and used CD to do a lot of research (and ask funny questions).

I will be in the US in March 2011.
