I'm in my 7th year here, and no two summers have been the same. You've been here a month - you're going to see some variation. The last few weeks have been more humid than usual, but really not that bad, unless you work outside.
Like I said, if LV turns out to be too wet for you, you have few options left. This summer's almost over, so wait and see what next summer brings before you pass judgement on how humid it is here. Check the historical data - LV is very dry.

This is a Phoenix level Monsoon. They do not get this far north normally. But actually I thought it was kind of nice.

the rainfall for vegas is amazingly low, while pahrump's rainfall is double what it normally is (we have over 6 inches already!) ! i agree that the monsoon season feels like it's dragged on forever & ever & ever.....

What is good about it is my A/C has not turned on for 3 days this week and I turned off my irrigation system. It will save me about $75 this month.
