My first experience with Florida was when I was about 21 and I flew there to go on a Caribbean cruise. It was November, 80 deg and the air was so heavy that you could not help but notice it. I felt like I was in the middle of a jungle!

That is normal for Nov. Though when its in the low 80s and 70s its more tolerable

January is the trickiest month. One day it will push 90 degrees with humidity, the next day you will not hit 60, and it will be super dry, and go into the 30s that night, and up to 85-89 again 2 days later

So many people caught the cold and flu in FL between Nov and March

From what I've been told it will be in the low-mid 50s here in Vegas in Jan and around freezing at night. Not looking forward to that but if the temps dont roller coaster the way they do in FL, I will survive

Figures I slept through the rain.
I did wake up a few times before my alarm went off, it could have been thunder, but i just blamed it on the noisy cat(one is noisy and meows constantly at times) and went back to sleep.
The ground was saturated when I got up, but the rain had stopped. This was around 10a.m.
The rest of the day it felt too muggy for me. Humidity was 40%. dewpoint 58.

Keep wishing. Any cougar that would want your azz whould have to be like 90-100 years old, by definition!

Your cruise would have to look like that boat in the movie 'Cocoon' for you to get lucky!

Yeah, that's about right.

It's all a matter of perspective - I'm used to below freezing weather in January, coming from Minnesota, Toronto & Chicago. 50s & sunny feels like a heat wave to me & I LOVE feeling the sun on my face in January. Rarely does it get below freezing & then only for brief spurts - a few years ago Las Vegas had a few days of freezing temperatures (& some frozen pipes around the valley), but from what I understand that's extremely rare. The main issue I find in January is usually stronger winds. I'll take it.

Davie, my guess is it'll be colder than you're used to, but you'll be just fine. My heavy winter jacket never comes out here. My only issue is I get prepared for abuse from neighbors in case it snows, as they claim I brought it with me from Chicago. I can live with that.
