Came across a strange one at a reception. Talking to a pool contractor and mentioned we were considering putting in a below ground hot tub to go with our pool. He mentioned he had one and we could have it cheap. So we went and looked.

What he has is a white fibreglass hot tub about 12 feet long. Hold at least ten maybe more people. Used but in very nice shape. Needs a light to be swapped to be good as new.

This unit is just like a fibreglass pool. You dig a hole and drop it in. Has to have a remote set of pumps and a heater like a pool.

He will sell the unit for something like $500. Then you need to add three or four thousand to get it placed, equipped and installed.

But it is easily a 12,000 installation when you are done.

Anyone who wants to get wet on the cheap drop me a line and I will put you in touch. I have no interest in this deal other than finding it interesting.

Note that a talented DIY could likely handle the job. The pool guy would also consult pretty cheap. You would need to spend some money...take a good sized crane to put this baby in place.
