Apparently the West Coast is greatly over-represented in cosmetic surgeries compared to the East Coast. I'm sure Hollywood/LA has a lot to do with that.

The prevalence of cosmetic surgery is by no means confined to working class women. Go to a private school when moms are picking up their kids, or an upscale restaurant in Summerlin for lunch, and you'll see breast implants everywhere. I was at a cocktail party recently that was mostly attended by doctors, and almost all of their wives had fake boobs. It's everywhere, or at least everywhere here where there are people who can afford to pay for (or finance) cosmetic surgery.
