When I was younger I got myself into a whole heap of financial trouble using a CC at the casino cage to get cash advances. I didn't even know you could do that until then. I was very intoxicated and the "working girl" I was with clued me in on the process... It took me several yrs to pay off the amount I charged my credit cards in 3 days... I still go to Vegas frequently, but never will I use my CC for cash advances again. Know when to say when!

Credit cards can be a great tool, if used properly. It's a topic that should be taught in high school and college, along with other basic financial skills.
