Default Happy Independence Day Las Vegas!

I hope you guys are doing something cool today. We will have rain all day which sucks. Too bad because the fireworks show at the plaza in Albany is pretty nice. Cheers!

MAN YOU ARE SOOO RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get there, only a month left! We went out to the cheesecake factory tonight and it reminded us of Vegas for some reason, very casino/theme-ish. We just pretended we were there and we had a great time LOL

Default It has begun...

The neighborhood surrounding Buzz has jumped to life. Sounds like a major small arms battle...and a couple of potent things I have never heard before...the must be out to get you Buzz.

The cul-de-sac to the east of Kokopeli is lined with cars everywhere...that meams a couple of people with a lot of money are about to let it all fly. Get your hose out Buzz you may need it. Gonna walk over and see what they got in a couple of minutes.

Nothing legal I betcha...

That's the neighbor right behind us. They had a big pool party today and the firworks show tonight was pretty good. I don't know if the guy directly behind me or the guy next to him paid for the display, but they must have spent a couple thousand dollars don't you think? I had to put poor Herman and Dusty in the throne room and turn on the exhaust fan. Herman always gets scared but even Dusty was nervous tonight.

Too bad he can't afford an exterminator to get rid of the killer bees that are right up against my fence.

What did the party house on the corner do tonight? They seemed to be kind of quiet this year.

Is that why you're named "Buzz?"

BTW, the word on the street in Northern Nevada is that Las Vegas got to 123 degrees today. Is that true?

The "official" weather station at McCarren only registered 114.It was 115 on my outdoor thermometer. And the heat broke the one i had in the backyard.
Thursday is supposed to be 116 or thereabouts.
Lake Mead gets the hottest, so it should be around 120 thursday.

The temps in various parts of the valley will always vary from the official temps which are taken at the airport. The reason it's important for the official weather station to be at the airport has to do with the effect temperature has on lift and the weight of airplane loads.

Lower parts of the valley will be hotter in summer and colder in winter than the airport. The west of town closer to the mountains is usually cooler. Lake Mead being lower is always about 5 degrees warmer than it is in town.

I believe that Laughlin's official high was 120 yesterday. Death Valley is predicted to reach 129º today. The closest I ever get to DV in summer is passing by... Baker, CA, Pahrump, Death Valley Junction, Mammoth Lakes, CA.
