We live in northwest las Vegas, Lone moutain area. I am not decided on private or not. Would like something close to home but am not opposed to driving either.

Any help would be appreciated!

Jess

My wife is a teacher at Shenker Academy in Summerlin.. she likes it alot due to the size of the classes... very very small.... She used to teach at Centennial Academy on Montecito near Centennial Hills, that was a nightmare... and the director was not very professional at all

Our twins went to Creative Kids (multiple locations). They went to the Farm Road location (near Durango), teachers were great and the kids had a blast. Not too expensive either, I would highly recommend.

If you don't mind your kid becoming a pint sized Billy Graham, we like Faith Lutheran on Jones and the 215.

Not at the time my kids were there. While I can't speak for all the teachers, my kids teacher (Miss Lisa) was fantastic, she had a lesson plan where the kids learned math, geography, spelling, writing, art, etc. Definately prepared my kids to transition to kindergarten where my son was the top student of all the classes last year.

We would do it again in heartbeat.

Our kids were in Challenger when they were 4-8 and all 3 are now above average in classes and one even skipped a grade when going to public school. It is a little $$$, but the education aspect is well worth it. There is a concern though in that they do not have sports and lack an even average PE class. Plus all the extras cost money like the extra sitting after school and any classes like karate or offered extras are outragous. I think our kids were paying $5 per lunch, which is why they packed. If you can gert a job at most Private schools in Vegas you can get a large chunk of your tuition paid for or even go for free. As a preschool teacher, there is no degree required and they are always looking for after school monitors and parents that want to help out in lunchroom and at recess.
