Can you elaborate a little bit more about that quick discovery

"Discovery" means that you get to see what paperwork the Prosecution has on the case if you ask, like witness statements, officer witness statements ect that may be used at Trial. They may make you pay for copies but it wouldn't be much and may be nothing at all. If your trial is Tuesday you better go to the court and ask them for a copy or they may refer you to the Prosecutor. Get it today (if they are open they might be closed) or monday the day before your trial. In order to receive the "Discovery" they may make you write a letter something on the order of "In order to prepare for trial, I request complete and full discovery regarding my case #----- including, but not limited to, the Case Report, Officer Witness Statements, Citation front and back including officer notes as well as any other relevant items which will be submitted by the Prosecution as evidence at trial."
There may be a boiler plate Discovery request on line somewhere I don't know. Don't let any grass grow under your feet on this one. If you speak halting english you might see about an interpreter although it may be too late for that now.

Everyting went great!!!
I went to las Vegas on Monday at 8:00 am.. looking sharp.. I wore a suit and a tie.. and I enter a courtroom which was just like in the movies.. I didnt hire an attorney.. it was just me and my friend (witness) and we sat and wait for my name to be called by the judge.. and when the judge said my name everybody noticed I had no attorney. and I went to the podium and I said. ''My name is Alfonso Camacho, and Im here to settle my Obligations with the state of nevada, and if you let me your honor, I would like to tell you my declaration'' and she interrumped me and said to a district attorney.. ''do we have an agreement for him?'' and he said yes..
Mr. camacho. you've been charged with reckless driving class a.. as this is your forst misdemeanor and we do not have enough evidence. we are going to dismiss the charge.. but you were speeding too. so what we are going to to is that we are going to reduce the speeding ticket to a parking violation. but you will have to plead guilty on that charge. and you will have to pay 200 dlls.. and go to traffic school. but you are from mexico, so you are gonna have to do it online.
The judge said.. '' do you understand what that means Mr. camacho'' and I said yes..
and she said.. ok.. I dont want to see you here again Mr. camacho.. stay out of trouble, and have a nice day..
I got out of there and went straight up to panda express.. I was starving.. and after that I had a few beers in my room.. gamble a little money.. the next day I got back to mexico. Everything went much better than what I expected.
No black chick though :/

good job. Correct presentation of oneself and respect alone probably wins more than half of the battle in these situations. For that life lesson alone, it was probably worth the $200. Good luck finding your black chick...and enjoy.

not the jail time, not the lawyer thing.. not the rights thing..

Seriously. You did NOT get a reckless driving ticket for a mere 10mph over the speed limit.

What were you doing and what does it say specifically on the ticket?
