Kind of like KENO!

And? They come from a 3rd world country where large families are advantageous. They know, at least, one or two of them will come to the U.S. and send remittances back to Mexico.

Many are having large families in this country. Smart! The day will come when they can send them over to the richer countries, like India/Brazil/China, and send part of their paychecks back to the U.S.

Non-minorities, eat your hearts out!

I'm not coming at the topic as a us vs. them mentality but it would seem that you are. In any event, overpopulating the earth for the sake of shuffling money around isn't sustainable in the long run if we want to enjoy our planet and resources.

Soon family size in Mexico will be smaller than family size of first-generation Mexican immigrants in the US. Its all about future prospects now and those who feel comfortable and secure in the US feel a lot more positive about the future than anyone else, natives included.

And who really gives a flying leap how many latinos are here? They clean your slop in your hotel room, wash your dirty sheets and cut your grass, they do the jobs not too many non-minority folk want to do.

Most of these folks work hard for their money and earn an honest day's pay and then they go out on their day off and spend that money in our local stores and restaurants.

Gotta love them!

Latino's don't work any harder for their money than anyone else, why keep propagating this myth? They only appear to work harder, doing physical lines of work.

I'm also a bit skeptical about the whole concept of illegals (predominantly Latino) doing work that Americans refuse to do. Now illegals may accept these positions for sub-par wages, no benefits, excessive hours, etc b/c their illegal status gives them less leeway in this regard. That said, I'm not sure that, were it not for illegals, all of these positions would do unfilled. I know the thread is about latinos, but the post above kind of hints at illegals as it references the concept of latinos doing jobs that many others won't. I wouldn't expect this to refer to Latinos who are US citizens or legal residents.
