Gee, with such a stellar attitude, I can't for the life of me understand why you're still unemployed.

MadManofBethesda, do you suggest I kiss ass and bow down to the status quo and beg for some scraps to be thrown my way? That kind of docile mentality is whats wrong with America. American workers take and take and never stand up for our rights.

Drvegas,

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Many lazy people with connections get jobs that they hate doing. The sort of people that get an attitude when they have to do the minimum that there job duties call for.

Everyone feels entitled these days. I feel like half the people are busy carrying the other half. Seems like many americans feel like just showing up should be enough.

Not me I want to make a difference. I want to contribute, I want to be a producer. I long to be the best.

I learned spainish for one thing, this way I can talk and understand the spainish speaking peoples.

I think Madman is not saying that you should kiss ass, but rather have an attitude of success. You see you're letting those people be a roadblock to you. You've accepted them as a situation that prevents you from reaching your goal.

It doesn't have to be that way man. Don't let them stop you. Kissing ass is hardly the term I'd use. I'd beat them at their own game.

For the tape recorder thing. Tape recorder are a bit outdated not, they sell mp3 recorders that are much smaller. They are pretty darn cheap too!!!

Honestly, if my first interactions with the HR department of a company are that poor, I consider myself lucky to be able to stand up and leave before I get in too deep. Of course money is an issue but I just recently quit my job without one lined up. It all boils down to your attitude and what you expect to happen. If you expect to be turned down and thrown into misery, you most likely will. At the end of the day it is a matter of what type of value you can bring a company. It is not necessarily right or legal, but the girl jumping up and down in heels brings value to the company and they know it. It sounds as if you are pretty disillusioned about the casinos and may be better off pursuing other work where you aren't destined to be written up for insubordination on account of not taking **** from some moron in a mo-mo.

Fortunately Dr. I do believe that there are laws to prevent people such as you fomr doing things such as this....

REMEMBER, that in MOST hotels in Las Vegas they take a dim view of yo using cameras or recording equipment on the premisis.

In OUR [or should I say MY case] I would ASSume that you were a trouble maker in the making and would decide against subjecting myself, my co-workers or my company to your BS.

AND b.t.w. Workers need to ban together the correct word is BAND....

No, it's the banned who are getting together. They are re-uniting for legitimate hiring concerns. ...

Nevada is one of the twelve states where consent of all parties is required to record. It would be legal in the other 38. So don't do it and definitely don't put it up anywhere...it is a criminal act.
