You guys shouldn't show that much fear. A person standing up for workers' rights and not taking bs from inept corporate tools isn't a trouble maker, on the contrary.

If the casinos have nothing to hide and aren't doing anything wrong, then I wouldn't have anything to record, right? There actually are laws that protect whistle blowers. But of course corporations and their goons like people to think they can't stand up to them. An mp3 recorder is a small investment to make to get at this crap.

Lets look beyond casinos though.....When was the last time you saw an apt sales clerk at the mall? Or what about legal secretaries who are hired for little other than their looks? Restaurant hostesses hired for **** and ass? Bank tellers who don't understand the wording of the bank's own policies? Security guards on testosterone overload? Club employees... now I can write a book on those!

There's nothing to fear...

dynimagelv- basically you'd fear being called out on your professional ineptness. Remember, if there's nothing to record, there's nothing to worry about. You only have to worry if you're doing something wrong or are allowing your company to do so.

you're online worker if you're actually employees by said company. otherwise you're just a prospective employee.

i suppose it depends on how bad/much you need a job- at some point you'll do what you need to do in order to get a job... or you'll continue on your one man/woman crusade.

only you can determine what your future's worth. best of luck.

It's no longer a one person crusade. I've gotten more support in private than I thought I would, and I'm going to pursue this more. Maybe a site dedicated to just this topic.

For someone spouting off so much about "workers' rights," you sure don't seem to have much respect for workers.

Which probably goes a long way to explaining why you aren't one.

Just be careful with that. You probably wont ever get a job in a casino if they find out who you are.

I once told a manager at Venetian I recorded what she said (I really didnt) & she & management flipped out. They also tried to fire me for talking about the union, I just brought up NLRB & no worries there. I was a PITA but so was the Venetian.

I'm unemployed because I recently got out of the military.

Workers' rights aren't the same as defending inept and incompetent employees.

I think too many of you are living in la la land. But the fear of casinos expressed in this thread goes a long way. It really expresses the state of fear that people in Vegas live in.
