There's a pawn shop in Las Vegas that hired Chumlee. I can guarantee, if they hired him, they'll hire anyone on C-D.

That's a pretty S***** thing to say. The OP is just saying things that most people are probably thinking when they jump through the same hoops.

I think too many of you are living in la la land. But the fear of casinos expressed in this thread goes a long way. It really expresses the state of fear that people in Vegas live in.
why you are not looking for security work with a military foundation is beyond me.

Dr Vegas, I salute you! Fighting for doing it the right way. Too many out there would just let corporate America push them around. I am glad to see there are at least a few people out there who will fight back. Carry on!

Well I did an experiment recently and applied to nearly all casinos. The ones that allow online applications. I did not send any resumes and answered the questions, like would you be willing to work weekends and holidays with no. I pretty much tried as hard as I could to answer incorrectly. I applied for all sorts of jobs ranging from food runner to security to management.

I got a surprising number of interviews. Went on two. I wore shorts and t-shirt. On one of them I got second interview that I never went to.

I have never worked for a casino, nor do I know anyone. At the interviews I very much a don't give a hoot attitude. I even told one hiring lady that they needed me more than I needed them.

I think I could get a job at one. I plan to do this some more in the future and take some videos/audios.

The screening process is more than a joke. Perhaps they liked my maverick style though. I styled me approach after the guy from Office space when he talks to the chainsaw consultants.

I used to see so many people going to interviews wearing shorts, jeans, t-shirts etc. & to top it off they brought their children.? That was back in 2005. Maybe these days employers figure some people can't afford to buy interview appropriate attire so they let it slide? I don't know. Someone here must conduct interviews give us some stories.
