Does anybody know which Las Vegas sportsbooks have the smallest amount of lingering 2nd hand cigarette smoke in the air? My father has emphysema as well as asthma, which makes him unable to withstand a large amount of smoke.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

PS- Places like "Lagassi Stadium @ the Pallazo" are out of the question. They require you spend at least $50 bucks on food & beverages. We don't have that kind of money to spend.

The one at New York New York didn't seem bad at all last time I was there (ESPN Zone?)

I'm very sensitive to it as well, and I didn't even notice it.

The one at The Orleans has great ventilation and is not really smoky at all...this coming from a non-smoker.

Many, if not most, have large non-smoking areas. Try for a seat farthest away from the smokers. IMO a sports book is one of the best places in LV to escape from the smoke.

Really? The whole casino use to reek of smoke, unless they did something drastically in the last 3 months since I've not been there.

I can't remember if it was Excaliber or Luxor, but one of them had the sportsbook right near a major entry way in the back. I don't remember it being too smokey, especially if you sat nearest to the doors.

The Orleans would not be comfortable for your father. I spend a great bit of time in the Sportsbook there. The Las Vegas Hilton sportsbook would probably be a good bet.

Bally's has a large no smoking section as well. It is also nowhere near the rest of the casino so there isn't anything coming from the slots.
