Exclamation So, what EXACTLY DO we pay for...

I am sorting through my bills, and nowhere do they (or if they do I can't find it) what the price per Therm, per Kilowatt, per 1000 gallons, etc is.

can anyone list how much each one of them cost?

Thanks

Jonathan

NV energy is approximately 11 cents per kilowatt. Last months bill was 294 kilowatts and my total bill after taxes was $43.

the prices are all listed on your paper bills , usually next to your usage figures. it should show your usage times the rate ..then the total charge

You can log into NV energy and SW Gas through their websites and check you bills online. They also have some info on how to read your bills.

Default From LVenergy Website

Ok, I checked my online bill for 15 days

I used 219 KWH at .1192400 = $26.11 (so basically .12 per KWH)
$ 5.29 in "Other" charges
$15.00 "connection" charge
.75 in government 'fees'

Total $47.15

One down, three to go!

Jonathan

some bills go by "tiers" also such as the water bill... just wait till you see how high the water bill goes in case we have another hot summer due to the evaporation of water in your pool (if you have an autofill, which i assume you do)

He has a does not have an autofill on his pool, but its a small pool and shouldn't really see a big increase in his water bill. My pool is about the same size and my water bill in the summer is usually around 25-30 bucks. Its usually watering the lawn or plants that really take a big hit on your wallet for water.

so if he does not have an autofill.. when the water evaporates, he manually has to fill it back??

Yes, pools without autofills are common with older pools. You have to fill the water yourself or you can buy an autofilll that goes over the pool deck. I usually trickle (slow drip) the water into the pool to keep up with evaporation.
